Shannon Ligon

Shannon joined Applied Economics in 2021. Shannon brings over 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry working for Anadarko Petroleum and Shell Trading Gas & Power. Her roles have been rooted in operational accounting with extensive experience in upstream, midstream, and downstream assets. Her responsibilities in these various roles as well as other management duties have included midstream plant settlements, gas marketing settlements, pipeline gas balancing, revenue distribution, contract review and netback price validation.
During her tenure she has been selected amongst her peers for special projects which include annual KPMG revenue accounting walk through presentations, royalty owner audits, due diligence audit for asset sales, and participation on a measurement task force to help identify measurement concerns.
Shannon earned her B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Houston.
